The University of Colorado Health (UCHealth) has retained Summit Talent Group to conduct a national executive search for the Director Trauma Services – Colorado Springs Region, consisting of Memorial Hospital Central (MHC) and Memorial Hospital North (MHN). U.S. News and World Report ranks Memorial #4 in its list of Colorado’s best hospitals and one of the busiest emergency departments in Colorado.

Currently an Adult Level II Trauma Center, in the first quarter of 2018 the organization is preparing for a Level I Adult and a Level II Pediatric designation by the State of Colorado, and in addition, a verification evaluation process by the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
The incumbent leader will immediately assume responsibility for the “readiness” process for the site survey, leading a team of approximately 10 FTEs, collaborating within a dyad environment and research consortium with the Adult and Pediatric Trauma Medical Directors.
The scope includes trauma programs, health system integration and outreach with hospitals, EMS agencies, the community and regulatory standards for continual compliance. Critical to this role are well-developed skills in budget development, fiscal management, strategy, marketing, and business planning.
The incumbent candidate will promote change within a learning environment; design new and improved processes in patient care; and utilize an interdisciplinary and multi-departmental approach to achieve quality and service across the continuum of care.
The ideal candidate will have two years of experience managing a trauma program at Level II Trauma Center. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Colorado State licensure as an RN is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Relevant life support certification is required; National certification in leadership, management, or clinical specialty preferred.

As Operations Manager for Summit Talent Group, Kyle is the primary resource for preparing client and candidate interview materials and supports the recruiting team with scheduling, organizing travel, and project management. She manages the office administrative function, including client contracts, proposals, invoicing and billing. Kyle also maintains the public website, manages all of the company’s technology and database tools, and researches innovative applications to ensure efficient recruitment operations. She is a graduate of Howard Community College in Columbia, MD, with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
