An Expert in Candidate Research and Development Practices
As a Vice President of Summit Talent Group, Joann brings more than 25 years of human resources, research and executive search experience to lead the candidate research practice for the firm. She also manages the full-cycle candidate interview process, including developing in-depth questions for interviewers and potential references. She also leads the debriefing sessions with hiring executives and interview teams following each round of interviews. To codify the feedback after each candidate interview, Joann uses the Candidate Assessment Form as well as The McQuaig System ™, providing relevant data to assist hiring managers in identifying the best candidate fit.
Prior to co-founding Summit Talent Group, Joann worked at the Bon Secours Health System (BSHSI) as an Executive Recruiter of Candidate Research & Sourcing. Joann’s unique skill set in candidate identification was instrumental in launching and managing BSHSI’s revenue-generating executive search service line that sold executive search services to hospital systems, long-term-care organizations and physician practices.
After working in human resources with Bendix Advanced Technology Center/Allied Signal, Joann joined Sheppard Pratt Health System as Director of Recruitment and Selection. She parlayed her experience working at a boutique executive search firm into establishing and managing her own company, Pinnacle Research, which offered research services such as target company mapping, competitive intelligence, market research and prospect lead development. It was at the helm of Pinnacle Research that Joann partnered with Seth Lee to help staff BSHSI for the launch of the Epic electronic medical system.
A past president of the Chesapeake Human Resources Association in Maryland and former member of SHRM’s Area II board of directors, Joann remains active in candidate networking events and is passionate about bringing leadership talent to clients.
In July of 2016, Summit Talent Group was acquired by The Innovation Institute and FutureSense, becoming a member of its Enterprise Development Group (EDG) portfolio of health care service companies, adding depth to their offering of end-to-end people strategy and organization solutions.
As Operations Manager for Summit Talent Group, Kyle is the primary resource for preparing client and candidate interview materials and supports the recruiting team with scheduling, organizing travel, and project management. She manages the office administrative function, including client contracts, proposals, invoicing and billing. Kyle also maintains the public website, manages all of the company’s technology and database tools, and researches innovative applications to ensure efficient recruitment operations. She is a graduate of Howard Community College in Columbia, MD, with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
