Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Perioperative Nursing Services provides strategic leadership directing overall clinical operations, personnel, and administration of the perioperative environment in the Operating Rooms. This will include the Main OR and the Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Director will work collaboratively with the Director of PACU units, which includes Post Anesthesia Care inpatient and ambulatory and Non OR PACU units.
The Director is responsible for all aspects of patient safety clinical operations, education, customer service, human resources, finance, quality outcome management and regulatory compliance. The Director will also develop and maintain collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact patient care outcomes.

Partnered with Anesthesiology and Critical Care, the Division of Nursing and the Division of Surgery, this multidisciplinary team performs more than 18,000 surgical cases each year in more than 30 operating rooms spanning the Main Building and Mays Clinic.

As a Vice President of Summit Talent Group, Mary Louise focuses on candidate development and management of the full-cycle candidate interview process, including visits to the client site.
