Neil Murphy, RN, BSN, MHA, Chief Nursing Consultant – Interim Services at Summit Talent Group, is currently serving as Interim Chief Nursing Officer at Wyoming Medical Center (WMC) in Casper, Wyoming. Neil conducted a four-hour workshop, “The Future of Nursing and Innovative Nursing Practice”, on March 31, 2017, focusing on nursing leadership and their role in strategic planning efforts at WMC.

The Future of Nursing and Innovative Nursing Practice

The session included discussion on the future state of the healthcare continuum, resource shortages, and the need for new innovative nursing care delivery models that continue to meet best practice and quality outcomes for patients in view of anticipated paradigm changes in the industry.

The Future of Nursing and Innovative Nursing Practice workshop took place at Wyoming Medical Center. It is Casper’s only nonprofit, full-service acute care hospital, located both in the heart of the city and the heart of Wyoming.
