Summit Talent Group Completes Executive Search Director, Talent Acquisition
September 10, 2018: After a national executive search, Summit Talent Group Completes Executive Search for Director, Talent Acquisition for University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) with the appointment of Angela Pointer.
Most recently, Angela served as Talent Acquisition Manager at GoHealth Urgent Care in Atlanta, GA. GoHealth operates in five states, providing a range of healthcare services from general wellness visits to lab services and x-rays. Angela led a team of seven FTEs to deliver sourcing strategies to attract, select, on-board and retain diverse talent throughout the organization, including implementing new solutions for referencing and interview scheduling.
Previously, Angela held the position of Manager of Workforce Planning & Retention at DeKalb Medical, a not-for-profit health system of three hospital campuses and 50 physician group offices. Her previous recruiting career included multiple nurse recruiting positions at Duke University Hospital and Recruitment Coordinator and Nurse Recruiter at South Fulton Medical Center. Angela began her career as a staff nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK; Hospice Case Manager at a home health and hospice provider in Tulsa; and multiple positions at Atlanta’s Visiting Nurse Health System, including Customer Service (Intake) Manager, Home Care Coordinator, and Hospice Case Manager.
Angela earned a Master of Science in Psychology from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University. She is an RN, a Certified Healthcare Recruiter (CHR) and has been a Certified Mediator. Angela is also a member of the National Association of Healthcare Recruiters and the Atlanta Association of Healthcare Recruiters, where she served as President.

As Operations Manager for Summit Talent Group, Kyle is the primary resource for preparing client and candidate interview materials and supports the recruiting team with scheduling, organizing travel, and project management. She manages the office administrative function, including client contracts, proposals, invoicing and billing. Kyle also maintains the public website, manages all of the company’s technology and database tools, and researches innovative applications to ensure efficient recruitment operations. She is a graduate of Howard Community College in Columbia, MD, with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
