University Hospitals (UH) has retained Summit Talent Group to conduct a national search for the position of UH Cleveland Medical Center (CMC) Director, Perioperative Services.

The Director, Perioperative Services has direct leadership responsibility of the clinical services and growth and strategic leadership of operations for the CMC Operating Rooms, CMC PACUs and CMC reporting Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This role will also determine organizational strategy and future focus, as well as for translating and integrating the operational goals of CMC into the oversight of, and planning for, operational processes for the above CMC areas. In addition, this position is fully accountable for implementing and evaluating patient care practice standards in conjunction with medical and discipline specific clinicians within the CMC and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The Director position will have responsibility and oversight over system perioperative nurse educators to ensure that orientation is managed consistently, effectively and timely during orientation at CMC.
Education/Expertise: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. MSN preferred
Required Credentials, License and/or Certifications: Current valid Ohio Nursing License.
Experience & Knowledge:
• Minimum of 10 years OR experience.
• Minimum of 5 years people management Process Improvement experience
• Demonstrated management and effective leadership skills in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions in a high stress, fast paced environment
• Knowledge of healthcare trends and delivery systems
