Summit Talent Group Initiates Search for Director, Hospital Billing
Summit Talent Group has been retained by SCL Health (SCLHS) in Broomfield, CO, to conduct a national Director Hospital Billing Executive Search reporting to the Senior Director, Billing for SCL Health – Revenue Service Center (RSC). SCL Health is a faith-based, nonprofit health care organization that operates nine hospitals, four safety net clinics, one children’s mental health center and more than 190 ambulatory service centers in three states. The health system includes 15,000 full-time associates and more than 500 employed providers.
The Director of Hospital Billing is responsible for the direction and oversight of hospital billing, accounts receivable management, claims follow up, underpayments, denials management and collections for the RSC and SCL Health working in an Epic EMR environment. Additionally, the Director of Hospital Billing is accountable for ensuring that all responsible functions are coordinated with the other revenue management functions within the RSC to meet customer requirements. As a strategic leader, the Director will develop departmental strategies to meet RSC cash projection formulas, reduce days in accounts receivable, and reduce denials and will take a leadership role in any technology implementations affecting the department. This role ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform job tasks, not limited to the development of trending tools and communication plan for hospital billing staff related to department customer service measures for their primary and secondary customers and incorporates measurable customer service standards as part of every employee’s expected job results.
Director Hospital Billing Executive Search
The Director of Hospital Billing will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a major in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; and eight years of progressive management and/or consulting experience in a healthcare environment is required, of which five years should be comprised of staff leadership and project management. Experience with Epic EMR, PB and HB certifications are highly desired.
