Valley Health System (VHS) has retained Summit Talent Group to conduct a national search for the position of Director, Organizational Development (Director). Valley Health System in Winchester VA — a not-for-profit health system bringing together 644 licensed inpatient beds, 166 long-term care beds, over 5,300 employees, and a medical staff exceeding 500 professionals.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President/CHRO & VP Community Health and Wellness, this high visibility leadership position consults with the executive leadership of the system, and partners with HR colleagues in the areas of talent, compensation, total rewards, engagement, employee wellness and HR business partners.
Critical competencies and professional experiences include organizational effectiveness; alignment with strategic planning, employee engagement, process improvement, diversity & inclusion, change management, training & coaching, succession planning, workforce & team development — with associated measurements and outcomes, demonstrating organizational impact.
The ideal candidate will have an earned master’s degree in a related field and applicable professional certifications. Five years management experience (at a health system level) leading, developing and implementing organizational change and effectiveness strategies. Previous experience in other HR leadership disciplines is highly valued. Relocation without contingency to Winchester VA is required.
