Summit Talent Group Completes Executive Search for Service Line Director, Surgical Services

1/21/19: After a national search, Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) has selected Cheryl Nance as the new Service Line Director, Surgical Services.

Cheryl most recently served as Director of the Perioperative Service Line in Northridge Hospital Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Dignity Health’s Southern California region. Between full-time engagements, she also led her own perioperative services consulting practice, serving as both consultant and interim perioperative director for hospitals in California, Colorado, Kansas, and Washington.

Cheryl has served as Director of Perioperative Services at Palomar/Pomerado Health in Escondido, CA; as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer of Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick, ME; and as Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive for Simi Valley Hospital in Simi Valley, CA. Her early career spanned hospitals in Michigan, California, Ohio, and Illinois, where she served in various perioperative/ambulatory/emergency nurse leadership roles.

Cheryl earned a PhD in Human and Organizational Systems and a Master of Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA; a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California/Los Angeles; and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loma Linda University.
