Valley Health, based in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, has retained Summit Talent Group to conduct a national search for the position of Director Patient Access (DPA) – Winchester Medical Center (WMC). As part of Valley Health System, the award-winning 445-bed medical center is the system’s flagship and has been serving Winchester, VA and the surrounding community since 1903.
Director Patient Access Search
Reporting to the Corporate Director – Valley Health Patient Access, the DPA is responsible for all pre-encounter, scheduling, and registration functions throughout Winchester Medical Center. Critical to this role is leadership that provides timely and effective delivery of front-end revenue cycle services to meet the needs of patients, families, physicians, clinical departments, the Central Business Office and other stakeholders.
The incumbent participates in strategic planning initiatives and implementation programs that embrace patient-centered service and service excellence. This role is a thought-leader in the coordination of care across the continuum, use of technological tools and solutions, metrics reporting, data to drive performance improvement, and customer service.
The ideal Candidate will have:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field from a nationally accredited institution of higher learning.
* Ten years of management experience with a minimum of three years directly related to patient access/revenue cycle in an acute care hospital setting; Responsibility for emergency department patient access is highly valued.
* Working knowledge of government and non-government insurance payer contracts and programs; Demonstrated a track record of achieving full and accurate payment for services performed; Epic EMR experience preferred.

As Operations Manager for Summit Talent Group, Kyle is the primary resource for preparing client and candidate interview materials and supports the recruiting team with scheduling, organizing travel, and project management. She manages the office administrative function, including client contracts, proposals, invoicing and billing. Kyle also maintains the public website, manages all of the company’s technology and database tools, and researches innovative applications to ensure efficient recruitment operations. She is a graduate of Howard Community College in Columbia, MD, with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
