Summit Talent Group Names Neil W. Murphy Chief Nursing Consultant Interim Services
Summit Talent Group is pleased to announce the formation of our Chief Nursing Consultant Interim Services division, led by Neil Murphy.
As Chief Nursing Consultant – Interim Services, Neil has held positions of vice president, chief nursing officer, chief operating officer, and governing board trustee at both academic and community hospitals in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors of healthcare. He has consulted for national and international clients. He has a record of accomplishments in operations management, standards compliance, and performance improvement, with extensive regulatory and accreditation experience in hospital, state reviews, Joint Commission surveys and appeals, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services inspections.
Some of Neil’s specific achievements include: Clinical experience with Emergency Medical Services as a paramedic, staff nurse, and leadership roles in trauma ICU and emergency nursing with past CEN and ACLS certifications; Consultation and interim management in patient care delivery and hospital operations; Development and strategic planning for emergency, cardiovascular, and cancer care service lines; Consultation regarding care coordination, chronic care management and the continuum of care transitions; Nursing Magnet journey resulting in hospital “system designation” with the American Nurses Credentialing Center; Regulatory compliance including Joint Commission preparation and standards interpretation to national and international clients; Operational efficiency projects that produce revenue enhancement and cost reduction in specialty environments such as the emergency room, critical care, and perioperative services; Building involvement of medical staff in governance, quality initiatives, and risk management; Operational planning to interface the continuum of care with long-term care, including skilled nursing facility Medicare certification and senior ambulatory programs; Healthcare facility planning and construction design.
Neil holds membership with the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives and the National Association for Healthcare Quality.

As a Vice President of Summit Talent Group, Mary Louise focuses on candidate development and management of the full-cycle candidate interview process, including visits to the client site.
