CTICU Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants – Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego Retained Search

Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego (Rady) has retained Summit Talent Group to conduct a national search for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in support of the pediatric cardiothoracic intensive care unit (CTICU).

The NP will be the first line of care for pediatric cardiac ICU patients, working in concert with Attendings, Fellows, and dedicated nursing staff. The NP may carry a range of 6-12 patients. There is an excellent team working in support and camaraderie as part of this dedicated organization driven by the Mission of care for children. The NP must have a California RN license and have National Acute Care NP certification or be eligible within six months of employment. A Master’s degree is required, and two years of experience is preferred.

As a PA in the CTICU, the candidate will be a trusted and essential member of the cardiothoracic team on critical care pediatric floors. The PA provides a continuity of care, compassion to patients, and knowledge of ICU procedures. The PA collaborates with the NPs as part of this Award-winning, high-quality care team. The PA must have a current California Physician Assistant License. A Master’s degree is preferred. Three years of experience as a CTICU PA or two years of experience in a direct clinical care position within a specialty area is recommended.
