November 1, 2018: After a national search conducted by healthcare executive search firm Summit Talent Group, Wyoming Medical Center has selected Michael Staley as the new Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.

Michael comes to Wyoming Medical Center from Harris Health System in Houston, Texas, where he has served in progressive leadership positions since 2003.  Most recently, Michael was Vice President Operations at Ben Taub & Quentin Mease Hospitals. Ben Taub is an academic teaching hospital affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine and Quentin Mease is a rehabilitation facility. Michael led initiatives to improve Core Measures, HCAHPS, employee engagement, and physician engagement scores.  He was also an executive stakeholder in multiple capital construction projects as well as the implementation, upgrade and expansion of the Epic EMR.

Prior to his position at Ben Taub, Michael held corporate positions including Vice President of Ancillary & Support Services, Associate Administrator, and Administrative Director of Operations for the system. During his tenure, Michael has been responsible for Radiology, Laboratory, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Equipment, Property Management, Emergency Management and Preparedness, Asset Management and Security as well as other functions.

Before joining Harris Health System, Michael served in the United States Army Medical Department as Medical Logistics Officer at multiple military hospitals.  His early career began as a Pharmacy Technician at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, TN.

Michael earned a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineers and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation.

As Operations Manager for Summit Talent Group, Kyle is the primary resource for preparing client and candidate interview materials and supports the recruiting team with scheduling, organizing travel, and project management. She manages the office administrative function, including client contracts, proposals, invoicing and billing. Kyle also maintains the public website, manages all of the company’s technology and database tools, and researches innovative applications to ensure efficient recruitment operations.
