Summit Talent Group Completes Search for Executive Director – Labor Employee Relations and Compliance for LPCH Stanford Children’s Health

April 2020 – Following a national search and selection process, we are pleased to announce the placement of N. Christopher Comma, LPCH Stanford Children’s Health, Executive Director – Labor, Employee Relations and Compliance, effective Monday, April 6, 2020.

Reporting to Marcie Atchison, CHRO, Christopher’s key duties include: being an advisor to LPCH executives and senior management regarding strategic labor, employee relations and HR compliance matters of significance to the hospital. He will be Chief Negotiator for LPCH, overseeing contract bargaining, interpretation, application, and compliance with relevant laws, policies, and rules; formulating labor policy, negotiates collective bargaining agreements and coordinating grievance procedures and complaints resulting from disputes with unionized employees. Christopher supports a wide range of labor relations and negotiations processes, prepares recommendations and advises officials on fostering and promoting harmonious labor/management relations regarding contract proposals, language and economic terms. He also provides oversight and direction regarding HR compliance.

Prior to joining LPCH, Christopher held progressive leadership roles in healthcare, retail and hospitality; most recently with Kaiser Permanente in the Northern CA Region, leading a staff of 23 people in the areas of HR disability management, employee wellness and HR risk management & regulatory compliance.

Christopher holds an undergraduate political science degree from the City University of New York, City College and a JD from the University of Iowa, Boyd College of Law. He recently sat for the California Bar Exam in February.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Christopher served in the United States Navy, with a deployment in the Middle East. A Level 2 CrossFit Coach and Trainer, he enjoys all sports, and is an avid reader on behavioral economics and psychology. He currently resides in San Francisco.
