Children’s Hospital of Orange County Appoints Sharon Sikora as Nurse Manager, Main Operating Room

February 19, 2020 – After partnering with Summit Talent Group the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s) in Orange, CA has appointed Sharon Sikora to the position of Nurse Manager, Main Operating Room.

In her new role, Sikora will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the OR while collaborating with clinical leaders at CHOC, ensuring the system’s commitment to quality of care and patient safety.

Sikora comes to CHOC from PIH Hospital-Whittier where she most recently held the role of Clinical Director Surgery. While at PIH Hospital-Whitter, she was a driver for clinical improvements, fiscal responsibility, and nurse mentoring in perioperative services.

Prior to her work at PIH Hospital-Whitter, Sikora was a key support and leader for surgical services for over ten years at MemorialCare Hospitals facilities including Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Laguna Hills & San Clemente. She was recognized for her strength, focus, and nurse leadership with the “CNOR Strong” by the Competency & Credentialing Institute. Her earlier career was in service as a dedicate cardiac and OR nurse for 20 years in Illinois and Michigan.

Sikora earned her MSN and BSN from American Sentinel University. She also earned a Master of Management from North Park University and a Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health from Sienna Heights University. She is a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR).
